7013 CDGA/HCP4A Bearing Product Overview & Core Advantages

The 7013 CDGA/HCP4A is a high-precision angular contact ball bearing designed for demanding applications requiring exceptional accuracy and performance. This single bearing features an Extra Light (A) preload and is manufactured to P4A tolerance class, ensuring superior running accuracy and minimal vibration. Its 15° contact angle is optimized for handling combined radial and axial loads simultaneously. A key advantage is its Universal Matchable (SU) designation, allowing it to be precisely matched with other bearings in sets for enhanced system rigidity. The use of a phenolic cage and ceramic balls contributes to its high-speed capability, low friction, and extended service life.

Model Code Breakdown

  • 7013: Basic series number, indicating a metric, angular contact bearing with a 65mm bore and 100mm outside diameter.
  • C: Denotes a 15° contact angle.
  • DG: Stands for Universal Matchable (SU). The bearing is supplied as a "Universal" bearing, which can be mounted in any arrangement (DB, DF, DT) with other Universal bearings to achieve the desired preload and rigidity.
  • A: Indicates an Extra Light preload class.
  • HCP4A: Specifies the tolerance class. "P4A" defines very high precision levels for bore diameter, outside diameter, and width tolerances, as well as running accuracy.

7013 CDGA/HCP4A Bearing Structural Features & Performance Benefits

High Precision & Rigidity: Manufactured to P4A super-precision standards, this bearing ensures minimal runout and high positional accuracy. The Extra Light preload eliminates internal clearance, providing high system rigidity and precise shaft positioning from startup.

High-Speed Performance: The combination of a lightweight, robust phenolic resin cage and low-density, hard silicon nitride (Si3N4) ceramic balls significantly reduces centrifugal forces, enabling very high limiting speeds (24,000 rpm). This design also reduces heat generation.

Extended Service Life & Reliability: Ceramic balls are electrically insulating, harder, and more wear-resistant than steel, leading to a dramatically longer fatigue life. They are also less sensitive to lubrication starvation. The bearing is pre-lubricated for immediate operation.

Universal Matching Capability: The Universal Matchable (SU) feature allows for simplified installation and optimal performance in complex bearing arrangements (back-to-back, face-to-face, or tandem) without selective matching.

7013 CDGA/HCP4A Bearing Typical Application Areas

  • High-Speed Machine Tool Spindles for milling, grinding, and drilling.
  • Precision Spindles in PCB drilling and routing machines.
  • High-Frequency Motors and servo drives.
  • Aerospace & Defense Systems requiring high reliability and speed.
  • Medical Equipment such as high-speed dental handpieces and centrifuges.
